Here’s an interesting course of web events.
Music director Salim-Suleman recently came up during a discussion with an online friend, and while I was going through my hard drive to clean up some stuff here and there, I noticed a song called “Dum Ali Ali dum” sung by someone who sounded very familiar and has an attractive voice. So I tried to Google the lyrics and after much effort stumbled upon singer named “Krishna”. A person who goes by only a first name is not uncommon and since I have previously heard this name on one of the TV shows, I thought I might as well search him further.
After fifteen minutes of searching, the singer Krishna turned out to be upcoming singer Krishna Beura who has sung amazing hit numbers in the recent years (the guy doesn’t appear to have much footprints on the web yet). The Dum Ali Ali dum is from music director Aadesh Srivastav and along with singing few other hit songs, Krishna got a major break in Salim-Suleman’s exceptionally well made Chak De India. He reminds me of Himesh Reshamiya but I think Krishna sings better then him and has a nice sufi touch to his voice.

I have just seen Krishna’s performance today on the tele, in the UK they have showm Junoon Kuch Kar…. after one year. I am amazed as Krishna has spend some days with me in Punjab Uni. I am so glad for him

Nice. Krishna sings very well, his voice has a sufi/qawwali touch to it.
